Details regarding remasters of both
Bayonetta and
Vanquish have surfaced online. Both titles originally released back in 2010 and, thus, the remasters are being touted as a celebration of their tenth anniversary. According to
the Microsoft Store listings, each remaster will feature 4K graphics and run at 60 frames-per-second on Xbox One X.
Both titles are developed by Platinum Games and published by SEGA. They will apparently come bundled together. Being a leak courtesy of the Microsoft Store, only Xbox One versions of the remasters have been confirmed but there's a chance that they will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We'll have to wait until the official announcement to find out.
Given the timing of this leak, it's likely that the remasters will be officially announced during The Game Awards 2019 (which will be taking place on December 12th). Stay tuned to Gamefragger, as we'll be sure to cover the remasters when they're officially revealed.
“Commemorate the 10th anniversary of PlatinumGames’ two most celebrated titles with the Bayonetta & Vanquish remastered dual-pack. 4K graphics available at 60fps on Xbox One X," reads the official description.
“Experience the genesis of the Bayonetta series with the original action-adventure. Take advantage of Bayonetta’s arsenal of skills to hack, slash, and open fire upon hordes of celestial foes," the listing details
Bayonetta before moving on to
Vanquish.
“Play as space soldier Sam Gideon in the hit sci-fi shooter, Vanquish. Equipped with BLADE, the experimental weapon system that can scan and copy existing weapons, he must infiltrate conquered space colony Providence and defeat legions of future-tech enemies.”
