The consistently delayed third entry of the explosive
Crackdown series was announced at E3 almost four years ago and Microsoft has officially revealed that the title will release on February 15, 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10.
Crackdown 3 will be available on the Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service from Microsoft that allows Xbox One owners play selected Xbox titles on the day of release.
The Big M has also unveiled a new
Crackdown 3 5v5 multiplayer mode
Wrecking Ball. As you can guess, it focuses on destroying as many things as you can in the shortest possible time. It's a
Crackdown game, which means that you will have a chance tu ruin skyscrapers and walkways, but getting rid of your opponents will be also rewarded. Unfortunately, Miley Cyrus’ involvement remains a mystery.
Those players who haven't had a chance to check out the original
Crackdown yet, can play the game right now, as it is currently free to download for all Xbox One users and will remain so until November 30.
Crackdown 3 is currently being made by Cloudgine, the company that specializes on cloud computing to Epic's Unreal Engine, Ruffian Games, creators of
Crackdown 2 that are working on multiplayer, and finally Sumo Digital developing the single-player campaign. Take a look:
