Mario Kart Tour was released in September of last year for iOS and Android devices as a free-to-start title. Due to it's "free-to-play" nature, the game became quite the hit upon release, and Nintendo has actually done a pretty good job supporting the game and keeping it relevant.
While Nintendo may still be releasing a bunch of new playable characters, vehicles, and tracks for players to race on, there is one thing that players have been asking for, and Nintendo has just recently delivered: Landscape Mode.
You read that right, Nintendo has recently revealed that the long-requested Landscape Mode will be added to Mario Kart Tour when the next update for the popular racing title goes live, giving players the chance to finally hold their mobile devices horizontally instead of vertically.
With this new update, Nintendo reveals that Landscape Mode is bringing with it a new control layout, which will likely make Mario Kart Tour feel more like its console counterparts; better simulating the feel of a controller.
Nintendo has not revealed when the next update for Mario Kart Tour will become available, but it is still great to see the company finally addressing the issue. For a Mario Kart game, Mario Kart Tour always felt too constricted due to the lack of landscape mode; again, this is great news for fans of the racing title.
