Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the first title in the series to release for a home console in over 10 years, since
Animal Crossing: City Folk released for the Nintendo Wii back in 2008.As such, fans of the social-simulation series series have been rightfully ecstatic for the new game's release on the
20th of March.
Nintendo has also revealed that an
Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch console will also be released ahead of
Animal Crossing: New Horizons' launch, which features the island-themed console, Joy-Con controllers with their respective straps, a phenomenal dock, and a download code for the game.
The
Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special Edition is actually releasing exactly one week before the game's launch, becoming available on Thursday the
13th of February. It is worth mentioning, however, that the game is included in the bundle, but players who purchase this console will still have to wait until the 20th to play it.
Although both
Animal Crossing: New Horizons and its
Special Edition Nintendo Switch are still a few weeks away from releasing, the Nintendo Minute crew took it upon themselves to share an unboxing video that gives us an even better look at this beautiful Animal Crossing-themed console.
