In June, Bethesda Softworks announced that they filed a suit against Warner Bros. Entertainment in a District of Maryland court. Bethesda was not suing only Warner Bros., but also developer Behaviour Interactive for the alleged use of the source code from their own highly successful mobile game
Fallout Shelter to create a new mobile app set in the
Westworld universe known from HBO's popular show.
Back then, Bethesda claimed
Westworld "
has the same or highly similar game design, art style, animations, features and other gameplay elements as Fallout Shelter." Well, that no longer is the case, as both Bethesda and Behaviour Interactive have announced that the lawsuit has been resolved. "
Bethesda Softworks and Behaviour Interactive jointly announced today that the parties have amicably resolved the lawsuit Bethesda brought against Behaviour and others related to the Fallout Shelter and Westworld mobile games," reads the entirety of a press release on the matter.
Bethesda hired Behaviour to work on
Fallout Shelter in 2014 and was accusing the studio of breaching of contract, copyright infringement, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets.
