At the moment, we’re not sure what Bethesda is working on outside of the games it announced at E3 2018. However, we may have just gotten a little bit of information that could give us an insight into the future of what the company is planning, and you know what? It sounds exciting.

For those who are unaware, Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax, signed a new trademark application for a new game known as Deathloop, It’s pretty difficult to tell what the plans are for this game, but if the information from the United States Patent & Trademark Office holds true, then Deathloop will likely become a mobile game with an online focus.

This should come as no surprise because the mobile gaming market is on the rise, and could one day become a billion dollar market in the near future. Not only that, the mobile game market will likely eclipse the console and PC market in terms of revenue, and that’s something big developers will never pass on.

Now, it should be noted that a granted trademark doesn’t tell the future because companies tend to acquire trademarks without ever using them. Still, it should be noted that ZeniMax filed a trademark application for Starfield back in 2013, and it took five years for Bethesda to showcase its plans where this game is concerned.

But seeing as Deathloop is likely a mobile experience, it shouldn’t take the team a long time to bring something to market. We’re guessing the year 2020 will see something come to fruition, but right now, only time will tell.

At the moment, Bethesda’s latest game is the disappointing Fallout 76. It’s a game that has thrown fans over the edge where bugs and quality are concerned. Bethesda is known for buggy games, yet fans usually turn a blind eye. However, it would seem as if those days are now behind us, and you know what? We’re pleased.
