Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, the upcoming animated film, will be releasing on July 15th. To coincide with this impending release, Pokemon GO will be introducing a brand new Raid Boss by the name of Armoured Mewtwo (via Eurogamer).

Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution is a remake of Pokemon: The First Movie. If you're familiar with the latter, classic feature film, you'll likely remember that at one point Mewtwo's powers are attempted to be harnessed by Team Rocket. To do this, they put the legendary Pokemon creature in an awesome suit of armour.

The armour has been subjected to a redesign for the upcoming animated film, and that's the version that's coming to Pokemon GO on July 10th (at 1pm PST specifically) until July 31st. The raids that feature Armoured Mewtwo will be rated five stars. Once you've battled the powerful creature, you'll be able to capture it.

Armoured Mewtwo itself is a psychic type. It's said to be weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost types - specifically, the following Pokemon: Gengar, Origin Giratina, Honchkrow, Houndoom, Lugia, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, and Weavile.
