Theater Accidentally Plays A Horror Movie Instead Of Warner Bros.'s DETECTIVE PIKACHU

A theater in Montréal has accidentally played The Curse of La Llorona, an R-rated horror film, instead of Warner Bros. and Legendary's Detective Pikachu.

When it comes to playing the wrong movie at a movie theater, it doesn't get worse than having an R-rated film being shown instead of the kid-friendly movie parents took their kids to, which is exactly what happened in a theater in Montréal.

The movie in question was Warner Bros. and Legendary's family friendly Detective Pikachu, which was replaced by Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema's The Curse of La Llorona; a movie that's clearly not intended for younger audiences.

What's even funnier is that the red flags started before the movie even began, with kids getting trailers for Anabelle Comes Home, the Joker, and Child's Play(don't be fooled, the name doesn't imply this is a movie for children) — which obviously got a negative reaction from kids, who simply started crying when the first trailer came up.

The first-ever live-action Pokémon movie, “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu” stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular character in the first-ever live-action movie based on the iconic face of the global Pokémon brand—one of the world’s most popular, multi-generation entertainment properties and most successful media franchises of all time.

Detective Pikachu is currently playing in theaters.
