The Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead may be over, but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of the incredibly popular horror franchise. Instead, it looks like we'll see Evil Dead move from the world of television to the video game realm.
In an interview with Bloody-Disgusting, actor Bruce Campbell revealed that, even though he's announced his retirement from the role of Ash Williams, past obligations means he still has more work to do before he officially hangs up the chainsaw hand.
"I have previous obligations I have to fulfill." Campbell explained before revealing one specific project that's in the works. "They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio. I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up.”
The actor didn't shed any light on which developers were tackling the property, but his talk of immersion will likely prove exciting for many fans. However, the site suspects it may be a VR project, which will probably turn off some fans.
Either way, this isn't the stars's first foray into the world of video games, as he already returned to voice Ash for previous Evil Dead games and worked on other titles including the Spider-Man 2 tie-in game.
