The greatest adventure of all time kicked off this morning in Fortnite with the new Treasure Hunters season. The latest update introduces a new island and cosmetics all inspired by One Piece.
"Each week, a new captain arrives in Battle Royale with their own crew and POI: the Straw Hats and A$AP Rocky lead the way, followed by Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto. New treasures lie hidden across the Island, including what's inside Captain X's mega chest," Epic teased alongside the new season's arrival.
The new Treasure Hunters season takes us to Crossbones Isle, home to iconic points of interest like Arlong Park and Windmill Village from One Piece. There are also special One Piece-inspired powers that can be found, and more sprites to collect.
And, of course, there's a new battle pass chock full of cosmetics. The Battle Pass features Portgas D. Ace adn Nico Robin, as well as anime-inspired looks for Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, and Charlotte.
But perhaps the biggest surprise this season is the all-new Fortnite Pirate Shop Token. This is a special item that can be found in chests across battle royale that, when collected, will temporarily make every cosmetic in the Item Shop free. Fortnite Pirate Shop Token: How to find it and what it does
First off, the Pirate Shop Token is an extremely rare reward, so don't assume because you play a lot you'll find one. It can be found simply by opening chests in Battle Royale. But again, you'll need a ton of luck.
The good news, if you're playing in a party and one person finds the Pirate Shop Token, everyone in the party will receive it. So you may have better luck if you're playing in a group rather than solo.
Once you find and activate the Pirate Shop Token, it will make everything in the Item Shop free for 14 days. You'll be able to activate this powerful Token once in 2026 and another time in 2027. Both times it will make the entirety of the Item Shop free for 14 days. So you'll get a total of four weeks where you can log in, go to the Item Shop, and claim every item in it for free. We're talking about hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars worth of cosmetics all for free.
The official item description reads:
"Activate the Pirate Shop to plunder the Fornite Item Shop for 14 days frm time of activation. While the Pirate Shop is activated, items sold for V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop will be available toc laim for free. Real money offers, gifting and passes levels/rewards are excluded, and you can only claim one free sidekick you do not already own. You can activate the Pirate Shop twice: once in 2026 and once in 2027. This treasure is not transferable."
As the description explains, your two weeks begins when you activate the token, so you don't need to use it immediately. You can wait for items that you want to appear in the shop before using the 2026 token.

We don't know the drop rates of the Pirate Shop Token, but we have to imagine it's incredibly rare given the value it provides.
