A Hat in Time will be making its way into the Nintendo Switch according to Gears for Breakfast, the acclaimed platformer's developer, and is expected to be releasing very soon — although the developer did not specify when we should expect the game to launch.
For those who still have to hear about
A Hat in Time, it is an action-adventure game inspired by 3D platformers from the 32 and 64-Bit era like Nintendo's iconic
Super Mario 64, Insomniac Games'
Spyro the Dragon, and Rare's
Banjo-Kazooie.
According to Jonas Kærlev, the game's director,
A Hat in Time also borrows a lot of ideas from Nintendo's long-running
The Legend of Zelda series; particularly the aesthetic that somewhat resembles that in
The Wind Waker and a similar time-travelling mechanic to that of
Ocarina of Time.
Fans of
A Hat in Time will have to now wait for more official announcements from the developers, but it is still great news to know that the game will be released for the Nintendo Switch; especially since it really is a special game that fans of 3D platformers shouldn't sleep on.
A Hat in Time is a cute-as-heck 3D platformer featuring a little girl who stitches hats for wicked powers! Freely explore giant worlds and recover Time Pieces to travel to new heights!
A Hat in Time will be available for the Nintendo Switch soon.
