RAD is a 3D roguelike set in a post-apocalyptic world with some aesthetics heavily inspired by aesthetics from the 1980s; something that gives this title its unique and recognizable style.
Developed by Double Fine Productions and published by Bandai Namco,
RAD was released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) just yesterday; bringing with it some nostalgia-inducing synth pop tunes from the 80s, as well as fast-paced mutant-hunting action.
One of the main gameplay mechanics that
RAD has to offer, is that players can mutate their characters into, well, mutants — which makes them even more powerful when fighting enemies.
Today, Bandai Namco has shared a behind-the-scenes video that has the developers of
RAD talking about the game's mutations and how the team was able to balance them without making these mutations either too weak or too overpowered.
