Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was quite the surprising announcement for fans of the long-running, and box-smashing Crash Bandicoot series; a series that had been pretty much dead for quite a while now, and that the latest games were not well received by fans of the original titles.
The announcement was made even more special when Activision revealed that Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a direct sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Warped — meaning that it takes place before some of the more "questionable" entries; with a few exceptions, of course.
If there is one thing that was a slight disappointment was the fact that Activision and developer Toys For Bob had only confirmed that the game would be launching on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One — leaving Nintendo Switch and PC players wondering if there will even be a port of the game at some point.
Today we have some uplifting news in regards to this particular topic, as an Activision representative has recently revealed that the developers "are still evaluating additional platforms for a future date," although they urge players to "stay tuned for more information."
It is also worth mentioning that Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy was originally announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, and was later announced for other platforms — so Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time releasing for the Nintendo Switch, PC, or even next-gen consoles is more than plausible; even more so now that Activision reveals they haven't ruled this option out.
Picking up where the original trilogy left off, Neo Cortex and DR. Nefarious Tropy have escaped their interdimensional prison and in doing so have fractured the boundaries of time and space. It's up to Crash and Coco to save the day.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Friday the 2nd of October.
