Ever since Dead Cells was released in August of 2018, to some very positive reviews, developer Motion Twin has been constantly supporting the popular RogueVania title; releasing post-launch content that keeps on adding replay value to the game.
In May of last year, in fact, Motion Twin proudly announced that Dead Cells had already managed to sell over 2 million copies; a bit over a year after its official release on home consoles and Steam(PC, macOS, and Linux), and more recently GOG, as well as iOS and Android devices.
Motion Twin has just announced that even more content is coming Dead Cells' way; one update that will keep giving players even more replay value than the game's procedurally generated levels already gives to players; the developers commitment to the game is definitely commendable.
That's right, Dead Cells is getting a brand-new level called "The Derelict Distillery", which will give players an alternative path to the last biome in the game, High Peak Castle, and also adding some new enemies, weapons, and exploding barrels that look like will make gameplay even more fuan than ever before.
The cherry on top would be the addition of a new soundtrack, which is not really new per se, as it actually is an 8-bit rendition of the phenomenal Dead Cells soundtrack. The update still doesn't have an official release date, but Motion Twin reassures players that it will be at some point this summer.

You grew up with the roguelikes, witnessed the rise of the roguelites and even the birth of the roguelite-lites? We'd now like to present for your consideration our RogueVania, the illegitimate child of a modern Roguelite (Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Spelunky, etc.) and an old-school MetroidVania (Castlevania: SotN and its ilk).
Dead Cells is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam, GOG).
