Ever since it was released in January of this year, Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 revealed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would b getting additional content in the form of "A New Power Awakens" — which consists of two episodes that would be released throughout the year.
The first episode of "A New Power Awakens" was released in April, and it introduced Dragon Ball Super characters Lord Beerus and his guide Whis, while also giving Goku and Vegeta the powerful Super Saiyan God transformations; of course, players will have to unlock them first.
In September Bandai Namco announced shared some details about "A New Power Awakens - Part 2", revealing that this is a boss battle that will see players squaring up to none other than Golden Frieza. On top of this, the new update will give players the ability to have Goku and Vegeta transform to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.
Unfortunately, players were not given an official release date, but Bandai Namco reassured that "A New Power Awakens - Part 2" would become available to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Season Pass owners at some point this Fall.
Today, Bandai Namco has surprised fans by revealing that "A New Power Awakens - Part 2" is actualyl closer than we initially thought, and that the long-awaited DLC will finally become available next Tuesday the 17th of November.
With the announcement, the developer also shared a gameplay trailer that sees Vegeta in his SSGSS form fighting Golden Frieza, and giving us a better idea of what the new moveset will bring.
