Dying Light for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC back in 2015. The studio has continued to release new content for the zombie game to this very year. Why stop now? Well, because
Dying Light 2 is right around the corner. The upcoming sequel will retain the parkour and combat that players loved in the first game — not to mention build on it.
Dying Light 2 is currently set to release for the aforementioned and typical bunch of platforms in Spring of 2020 — unfortunately, we're not yet privy to the game's exact release date. Last month, it was revealed that
Dying Light 2 will include about 100 hours worth of content for players to dig into. At that, there will be even more added post-launch.
In a recent interview with
Prankster 101, Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala revealed that Techland intend to replicate the level of support that they provided the first
Dying Light game for its upcoming successor. It's said that Dying Light 2 will be supported for at least four years after launch — so that's at least until 2024.
"Yes, of course. Dying Light 1 was supported for 4 years after its release, and the plan for Dying Light 2 is exactly the same. We want this game to be supported after its release. We know that a lot of fans will be waiting for DLCs, updates, extra stuff they can get their hands on. And we promise to deliver them just that," Smektala revealed.
Dying Light 2 is set to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2020.
