The Jo-Mei Games-developed
Sea of Solitude has finally received a proper release date – July 5, 2019.
Yes, the upcoming third-person exploration title will launch soon (for $19,99), giving you a chance to embark on a dangerous journey with Kay – a depressed girl who's trying to fight her inner demons.
“
Sea of Solitude centers on the essence of loneliness and tugs on the heartstrings of its players by mirroring their own reality. It’s by far the most artistic and personal project I’ve ever created, written during a very emotional time in my life,” CEO of Jo-Mei Cornelia Geppert said in a press release. “
Designing characters based on emotions was a deeply personal achievement for our team and we’re so excited for players to soon experience Kay’s powerful story of self-discovery and healing.”
As a reminder,
A Way Out, Fe, and the
Unravel series were also published under the EA Originals label.
Considering that E3 2019 (and the annual EA Play event) is finally kicking off in less than two weeks, it's rather safe to say that new details on
Sea of Solitude will be revealed during the big show next month.
When humans get too lonely, they turn into monsters. That’s what happened to Kay. But she’s not alone – this ocean is full of creatures just like her. Finding them may be the key to changing her back. Sea of Solitude is an upcoming third-person exploration game from Jo-Mei Games. Join Kay as she navigates the waters of heartache, empathy, and hope.
Sea of Solitude is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 5, 2019.
