It looks like releasing accolades trailers before a game's launch is the latest trend in the beautiful world of video gaming – this time with Frogwares putting the spotlight on
The Sinking City and all the great reviews the horror is going to (?) to get once it finally releases for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on June 27th.
In Frogwares'
The Sinking City, the player takes on the role of Charles W. Reed, a private investigator who finds himself in Oakmont, Massachusetts – a seemingly normal city that hides its darker, bizarre nature within. The Ukrainian developer doesn't try to hide the fact that their project is heavily inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft – whose body of work was also the canvas for 2018's
Call of Cthulhu.
As a reminder, the team at Frogwares gave us all those video games with
Sherlock Holmes in the main role, so there's hope that
The Sinking City will offer players a chance to solve an unpredictable mystery.
Without further ado, be sure to take a closer look at
The Sinking City's accolades trailer down below:
The Sinking City is a game of investigation and mystery taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The player steps into the shoes of a 1920s private investigator who finds himself in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts, New England. A city suffering from unprecedented floods of clearly supernatural origins, a city trembling on the brink of madness.
