It looks like Avalanche Studios'
Just Cause 4 wants to put your ideas as far as they can go, allowing you to experiment and use the environment to push the game's physics engine to its absolute limit. The inclusion of the ability to switch between three different tether loadouts, made up of any combination of retractors, boosters and airlifters only creates even more creative, spontaneous possibilities.
IGN has released another part of their
Just Cause 4 coverage, this time explaining why the fourth title is the developer’s smartest approach to stupidity yet. This philosophy is seen almost everywhere, according to IGN' Joe Skrebels, who recently played the full game. In his opinion, Avalanche’s smartest move is in realizing that experimentation, not prescriptive objectives, is what players actually want.
The Swedish studio has revealed
Just Cause 4 will make some changes to the old formula. While the first three games were focused on a bombastic, not-stop action in colorful, foreign settings, the fourth installment is heading into a more serious direction. Avalanche promises that we will uncover the truth of Rico’s father life on Solís and the origin of extreme weather conditions as we spearhead the rebellion to defeat the Black Hand, a military organization responsible for the South American troubles.
Take a look:
Welcome to Solis, a huge South American world home of conflict, oppression and extreme weather conditions. Just Cause 4 sees rogue hero Rico Rodriguez land in Solis to hunt down the truth about his past, at any costs. Strap into your wingsuit, equip your fully customizable grappling hook, and get ready to bring the thunder!
Just Cause 4 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4, 2018.
