Avalanche Studios has revealed that
Just Cause 4 will make some changes to the old formula. While the first three games were focused on bombastic, not-stop action in colorful, foreign settings, the fourth installment is heading into a bit more serious direction. The studio promises that we will uncover the truth of Rico’s father life on Solis and the origin of extreme weather conditions as we spearhead the rebellion to defeat the Black Hand, a military organization responsible for the South American troubles.
IGN has released new videos focused on
Just Cause 4. The first one, "Showcasing Every Extreme Weather Type," gives us a closer look at all the sandstorms, tropical storms, thundersnow and tornadoes Rico Rodriguez will face during the main storyline. According to Avalanche,
Just Cause 4's new Apex Engine delivers the most interactive, extreme weather simulations ever seen in a videogame.
The second video, "13 Ridiculous Physics-Based Moments in
Just Cause 4," showcases, as you can guess, the ways you can play with the Apex engine to wreak infinite havoc. The feature also spotlights Rico's upgraded grapple hook that is now a truly multifunctional device allowing you to attach many rocket boosters and airlifter balloons to every single big and little thing in the game. Check it out:
