LEGO games have always had a very unique charm to them, which is what makes them so compelling to play. Thse particular games are incredibly fun in their own right, but are even more fun when they're based on popular franchises like Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars.
The very first LEGO Star Wars game was released in 2005, and it was a title that was based on the original trilogy of Star Wars movies. Interestingly enough, albeit not surprising, LEGO games based on the popular space opera created by George Lucas are still being made.
In June of last year, LEGO and TT Games announced that they were currently working on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — which can definitely be considered to be the ultimate LEGO Star Wars video game, as it will be based on all 9 of the movies.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will see players reliving the iconic series; from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace — chronologically speaking, of course — up until the thrilling conclusion in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker; all of it told in classic LEGO fashion.
Today, video game journalist Geoff Keighley has confirmed that gameplay for LEGO and TT Games' upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be showcased during gamescom's Opening Night Live presentation, which is expected to be livestreamed tomorrow Thursday the 27th of August at 8:00 PM CEST / 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is expected to release on Tuesday the 20th of October, and tomorrow's gameplay showcase wil llikely make more than a few Star Wars fans excited to finally get their hands on this new game.
