The Traveller's Tales machine works better than ever (two critically acclaimed
Lego video games,
The Lego Movie 2 Videogame and
Lego DC Super-Villains, were both released in the past 12 months), so it comes as no surprise that the British game developer is working on a brand-new
Lego Star Wars title.
At last week's Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, Sound Editor Matthew Wood, who voiced General Grievous in
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars Battlefront II, and related media, confirmed that another
Lego Star Wars game is in development.
During a panel at the Celebration, Wood revealed that there "
are so many things we're doing right now, we've got [Star Wars:] Resistance going, Clone Wars going, we've got The Mandalorian happening, of course Episode IX [The Rise of Skywalker] is happening, there's a Lego Star Wars game we're working on..." Given that 2017's
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hasn't received a dedicated
Lego Star Wars game, with
The Rise of Skywalker on the horizon (releasing this December), there's a big chance that WB will launch a special "bricked" version of those movies to accompany
Episode IX's debut.
As a reminder, the latest entry in the long-running
Lego Star Wars saga,
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, initially hit stores in June 2016. Be sure to take a closer look at the video game down below:
