It's been a long wait, but Marvel's Avengers is finally going to add Spider-Man to the game (well, assuming you own a PlayStation) on November 30. A trailer highlighting the "With Great Power" Hero Event swings online tomorrow, but in the meantime, we have a first look at the game's webbed wonder.
It feels like we're getting the right balance of comic book and Marvel Cinematic Universe inspiration here, and it's pretty spectacular seeing Spidey swing into action alongside Thor, Iron Man, and Ms. Marvel.
"Peter Parker uncovers AIM's new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable," reads the description. "He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full-time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?"
Remember, this won't be the Peter Parker from the PlayStation video games, so it will be interesting seeing what sort of backstory he gets. Very little has been revealed about Square Enix's take on the wall-crawler, so keep your fingers crossed that trailer brings some big reveals with it!
