Shadow of the Tomb Raider was announced earlier this month and we're still patiently waiting for the game's full reveal on April 27th, 2018, meaning that we will learn a whole lot about the third chapter of the rebooted
Tomb Raider series this Friday. The rumor says that Crystal Dynamics is too busy with the works on the
Avengers game and
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is being developed by Eidos Montreal.
It looks like the developers behind
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divided and the rebooted
Thief are taking Lara into even darker direction. The "
Experience Lara Croft's defining moment as she becomes the #TombRaider." and
"Shadow of the #TombRaider will forge Lara Croft into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be" Twitter slogans clearly indicate that this journey won't be a happy one.
Does it mean that we won't get any Tomb Raider games after The Shadow? Well, the upcoming Tomb Raider will be the concluding chapter of her story, but there's a big chance that it's just the end of her "vulnerable" time and the next games will focus on her "Tomb Raidering" we've seen in the old games. Also, don't forget that you can still watch the film version of Lara's first journey on the big screen.
Experience Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14th.
