SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER Developer Isn't Worried About Competing With SPIDER-MAN PS4

Spider-Man PS4 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will both be available to players very soon, and now one of the many developers behind the Lara Croft game isn't worried about competing with the Insomniac title.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Spider-Man PS4 will both be available September, making the month an important one for gamers. But while both properties have devoted fans, some have wondered if the fact that their release dates are just weeks apart will affect sales.

We'll just have to take a wait-and-see approach to get a definitive answer, but Eidos Montreal game director, Daniel Bisson, told the folks at COGconnected that they're confident things will work out for both titles.

"I’m not worried about Spider-Man. I have friends working on it, so I’m very happy for them too, and I think, you were saying it, it’s a great year. And for me, Spider-Man and Shadow of the Tomb Raider can co-exist. It’s a different experience. One’s way more about movement, the city and things, and this one is way more about exploring and finding things that make life special."

Again, we won't find out if both games are successful until September, but there's a chance the immense popularity of both Spider-Man and Lara Croft will enable both projects to co-exist happily. Though, at about $60 a piece, there's no guarantee players will be willing to splurge on both video games.
