Eidos Montreal, the developer responsible for the recently-released Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Nixxes, the company that ported the titled to the PC, have released the third major patch that will hopefully fix the game's biggest technical issues. Sadly, this patch doesn't include the promise NVIDIA's RTX technology support and it's unclear when this function will be added to the game.

The patch brings some important stability and functionality updates, fixes major mistakes in various languages and most importantly, fixes problems with DX12 that occurred in the Windows 10 version. As always, the update will download automatically on Steam the next time you launch Shadow. Considering that the patch improves the game's stability, it may be the right moment to check out Lara's latest journey.

Nixxes Software is a Dutch game developer specializing in porting software across all platforms and to the PC. The studio has primarily worked with Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, and their partnership continues in Shadow of the Tomb Raider which hit the stores last month. Nixxes has been helping Crystals since 1999's Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and its port on Sega Dreamcast.
