Earlier this month,
there were rumors that the next
Assassin's Creed would be titled "Odyssey" and that it would be set in Ancient Greece. Ahead of E3 next month, Ubisoft has confirmed those rumors. With all of the leaks springing up just weeks before the big event, Ubisoft got the jump, posting a teaser announcing
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.
The brief clip confirms the ancient Rome setting as a dude gets booted off a mountain cliff. Other than that, we don't know much. Ubisoft promises more at E3 where we will probably get a more officially unveiling with actual details for the game. For what it's worth, the rumor claimed
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will be released in March 2019.
Ubisoft's E3 conference will be held on Monday, June 11 at 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET.
