E3 2018: The Leaked Edition continues as the first details about
Assassin's Creed Odyssey have emerged online. It's pretty funny, considering that the game was "announced" via a promotional keychain a week ago, and it looks like PlayStation store has deiced to jump on the endless leaking bandwagon and posted the official synopsis of the upcoming game and an artwork featuring Spartan soldiers and a statue of Poseidon, the patron of city Corinth in the background a few hours ago.
The synopsis indicates that you will "
Take control of your destiny and write your own epic odyssey (you didn't see that coming?)
as your journey to become a legendary Spartan hero. Live incredible adventures in a world where every choice matters. Rejected by your family, you must embark on an adventure from outcast mercenary to legendary Spartan hero to uncover the truth about your past."
According to Head of IGN Germany Sebastian Ossowski, we will play as a descendant of Leonidas, King of Sparta, who led the allied Greek forces to a last stand at the Battle of Thermopylae (480 BC) while attempting to defend the pass from the invading Persian army. Kotaku's Jason Schreier has confirmed that
Odyssey will embrace its RPG side even more, bringing dialogue options to the series for the first time. Following
Syndicate, you’ll be able to play as either a male or a female protagonist.
