News from the Assassin's Creed front doesn't seem to want to stop flowing in, and the best part about being inundated with such news is that all of it has been positive! From doubling the player base from Odyssey to dethroning the successful Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War from its number one spot. Assassin's Creed Valhalla stormed the beach and raided all of the rewards...you know, as a Viking would.
Since its release last week, along with the release of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, players far and wide have been buying the latest addition to the sprawling Assassin's Creed franchise. Promising to right its wrongs and improve its systems, it looks like players and critics alike have made a note of this and cannot stop praising it.
Ubisoft's recent press release has also revealed that in just five days, Valhalla has already sold more copies than any other installment in the series, making it the highest-selling AC game ever! According to producer Julien Laferrière, “We are truly delighted by the enthusiastic response from players and want to thank the fans for their incredible support. Delivering this game amid a global pandemic was a true tour de force by our teams, and it’s fantastic to see players enjoying the game so much; launch is only the beginning, and we have robust content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come.”

Set in 873 AD, the game recounts a fictional story during the Viking invasion of Britain. The player controls Eivor, a Viking raider who becomes embroiled in the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order.
