The new
Assassin's Creed was officially announced a week ago and all signs are pointing towards
Odyssey taking place in Ancient Greece. The latest reports suggest that this year's
Assassin's Creed will embrace its RPG side even more, bringing dialogue and romantic options to the series for the first time, and just like in Classical Greece, nothing will stop you from freely dating gals and guys.
According to Head of IGN Germany Sebastian Ossowski, we will play as a descendant of the legendary Leonidas, King of Sparta, who led the allied Greek forces to a last stand at the Battle of Thermopylae (480 BC) while attempting to defend the pass from the invading Persian army. It looks like
Odyssey will tell its story from the perspective of one of Leonidas' grandchildren considering that we will witness the Peloponnesian Wars between Athens and Sparta (451 - 404 BC).
As you remember, Bayek, the main protagonist of last year's
Assassin's Creed: Origins was born Siwa, Egypt in 85 BC, meaning that there's literally no chance that he or any character from
Origins will be featured in
Odyssey. It's strange,
