Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be launching for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the
5th of October, and while there is still one week until the game releases, today we get a launch trailer that digs deeper into one of the main characters' backstory.
Like many of us already know,
Assassin's Creed Odyssey will allow players to follow the stories of two main protagonists, Alexios and Kassandra, although their stories will likely be the same—with a few differences here and there.
Today's new trailer focuses on Alexios, how he came to carry Leonidas' spear—which is said to hold a certain burden, and what he really needs to bring the people of Greece together.
We also find out that Alexios may be directly related to Leonidas as the trailer suggests that he may be his grandson—which definitely makes sense given the long history of ancestors that can be traced back to the First Civilisation; all of them having been important within the history of the Assassins Guild.
