According to PlayStation Universe, the next Assassin's Creed game will be called Assassin's Creed: Dynasty and the players will visit China in an unspecified time period. These revelations are coming from an employee who used to work at Technicolor as an animator based in Bangalore. Technicolor's animation teams have worked on many triple-A projects before, including FIFA, Call of Duty, Resident Evil and also most of Ubisoft's games.
The website reports that Dynasty could be just a normal codename of the project, just like Assassin's Creed Origins was Empire before the official announcement. The same goes to Syndicate that used to be known as Victory. PlayStation Universe's editors think that the name could mean the Ming Dynasty and Ubisoft has touched on this era in small (in scale and budget) Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.
Many players would be happy to see the return of Shao Jun, the protagonist of the 2D version of the series who was Ezio's only student before his death in a short animation film Embers. I think that it would be nice to finish Bayek's story, before drastically changing the setting again, but maybe Ubisoft feels that it's the right move to not repeat the scheme of Ezio's trilogy.
