Capcom's highly anticipated
Resident Evil 2 remake is releasing next January and fans of the
Resident Evil franchise are ecstatic now that the series is going back to its roots—even if this game is only a reimagining of the original story.
The latest
Resident Evil 2 story trailer released by Capcom introduces us to some of the main characters in the game, while also giving away a little too much. The original game features 4 playable characters; Leon and Claire being the main characters, as well as Sherry and Ada who were given small playable sections.
Sherry is a little girl that mysteriously appears in Claire's campaign, while Ada is a mysterious woman that shows up in Leon's campaign. Both of these characters had some, again, mysterious connections to the events happening in Raccoon City, and this latest trailer pretty much spoils the reasons for them actually being there.
While the
Resident Evil 2 remake may still hold a few more surprises for long-time fans, as well as newcomers, this new story trailer catered mostly towards people who have already played the game and know why Sherry and Ada are important to the plot. Newcomers, sadly, will have this mystery pretty much solved in the trailer..
Regardless of the spoilers this trailer may have, it is still a great trailer that should get anyone excited to play Capcom's
Resident Evil 2 remake when the game launches on the
25th of January.
