Ever since the
Resident Evil 2 remake was announced back in 2015, people have been very excited about it. The idea of one of the best survival horror games getting an update is very exciting, so people highly anticipating the
Resident Evil 2 remake was to be expected.
The problem was that news for
Resident Evil 2 were scarce and people began to wonder if the project had been cancelled or if it was still being worked on. The announcement was rather vague and didn't really say much other than, well, announcing that there was a project that was going to remake the game.
When
Resident Evil 2 was shown during this year's E3, people could finally put all their doubts to rest. The game was taking cues from
Resident Evil 4 by going with an over the shoulder perspective—ditching the classic fixed camera view. Some saw this as a great change, some others still wish that the developers would've kept the original game almost intact, in terms of gameplay. What no one could argue was that the
Resident Evil 2 remake looked simply astounding.
As if it wasn't enough, Capcom recently revealed, during their San Diego Comic-Con panel, that
Resident Evil 2—which is coming for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One—will be getting a special Collector's Edition. The Resident Evil 2 Collector's Edition will be available, exclusively, at GameStop EB Games and will retail for $199.99 USD and $239.99 CAD. Like any proper Collector's Edition, the bundle will include DLC packs that give players new in-game costumes, the game's original soundtrack, a Raccoon Police Department box packaging, and some R.P.D. Renovation Blueprints.
Take a look at all the features:
First off is the package itself, designed as a reproduction of the familiar item boxes that have shown up in various Resident Evil games over the years! Just like it protects your items in-game, it also protects the contents until you’re ready to put them to good use. So, what’s in the box?
