Resident Evil 3 is only a mere month away from finally becoming available for the PlayStation 4, and fans of Capcom's long-running survival/horror series couldn't be more excited about it. The success of
Resident Evil 2's remake made this sequel possible, and the quality of the game has put the series back on the map again; to the surprise of many, actually.
Capcom really seems to have learnt from their past mistakes, especially since some of the latest entries in the series — wether we like it or not — had somewhat redefined
Resident Evil and turned it into an action series. While the games weren't technically bad, they simply weren't what fans of the series actually wanted: a proper survival/horror series.
Much like the
Resident Evil 2 remake,
Resident Evil 3 will be adapting the original game and bringing back a bunch of new things to the table — which promise to make for a better gaming experience for players. The original game was actually released in 1999, and a lot of things have changed since then.
In the latest PlayStation Underground episode, the crew have played through
Resident Evil 3 and have made some very interesting coparisons; putting both the original
Resident Evil 3 and its remake side by side and shown how things have changed in these 20 years since the original was released.
Give it a watch:
Jill Valentine is one of the last remaining people in Raccoon City to witness the atrocities Umbrella performed. To stop her, Umbrella unleashes their ultimate secret weapon; Nemesis! Also includes Resident Evil Resistance, a new 1 vs 4 online multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe where four survivors face-off against a sinister Mastermind.
Resident Evil 3 is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 3rd of April.
