Marvel's Spider-Man is a hit both critically and, as evidenced by a new report by analysts, financially too. A new report by GamesIndustry.biz, reveals that Insomniac Games' newest title has outpaced God of War and thereby became the fastest-selling game of 2018 thus far - in the UK at least.
Though exact stats weren't given, it's said that Spidey easily obliterated the previous holder of the position, that being Ubisoft's Far Cry 5, and managed to double God of War's sales. On top of that, the report reveals that it's the fastest-selling game based on a Marvel property ever - taking the mantle from Lego Marvel Super Heroes by a “big margin."
Impressive to be sure, though it didn't manage to top Batman: Arkham Knight's record of being the fastest-selling superhero game of this generation - though ol' Batsy did have the advantage of releasing on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while Spidey was a PlayStation exclusive.
