We're only a month away from the launch of Sony's next-generation console, the PlayStation 5, as well as the release of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You can check out some new screenshots from the upcoming Spider-Man game here.
It's a successor of sorts to Marvel's Spider-Man which released for the PlayStation 4, however, it isn't a full-blown sequel. Think what inFAMOUS: First Light and Uncharted: Lost Legacy are to inFAMOUS: Second Son and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. And being a sort-of middle entry in the series, the gameplay and world are very much alike. Nonetheless, there are some changes.
For instance, Miles Morales may be able to do whatever a spider can just like Peter Parker but he also has some unique tricks up his sleeve such as his Venom Strike. Game Informer will be privy to quite a bit of exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales content during the lead-up to the game's launch.
The outlet recently released some awesome, new snippets of gameplay in which we can see Miles swinging his way through a snowy New York city, taking on the villainous group known as The Underground, and taking on the Rhino. However, unlike their previous confrontation, Miles is now capable of taking on the hulking beast.
Check it out below (via @GameInformer, @SpiderManShots):
In the latest adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, teenager Miles Morales is adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man. But when a fierce power struggle threatens to destroy his new home, the aspiring hero realizes that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of Marvel’s New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.
