Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive's
Marvel's Spider-Man is only but a few weeks away and fans of the web-headed wall-crawler just can't wait any longer for the game to hit shelves on the
7th of September.
Lately, we've been getting a lot of new information regarding the game's combat system, some of the villains the arachnid superhero will be facing, and even the game's second main protagonist: the city of New York.
In spite of Insomniac Games' efforts, some information about the game has been leaked; specifically
some of the suits that Spider-Man will be donning in the game, as well as
some of the enemies he will be facing.
Today, we got a new leak that seems to confirm that Spider-Man will be wearing a new suit that may or may not be closely related to the game's story. Funko Pop will be releasing a Canada-exclusive Spider-Man figure in which he's depicted wearing a black version of the suit in Insomniac Games Spider-Man game.
Upon closer inspection, it does not seem to be related to the Symbiote, especially because the suit has some parts that are white, like the legs and some parts of the arm and knuckles. The suit does closely resemble Spider-Man's Negative Zone suit, which makes sense given that Martin Li(Mr. Negative) has been featured prominently in much of the game's trailers.
Given the nature of a leak, it is very likely that we won't get any confirmation by Insomniac Games about the new suit Spider-Man is wearing in the Funko Pop figure, but
Marvel's Spider-Man is only a few weeks away and this item really doesn't spoil the story all that much.
Plus, Spider-Man games are known to have wide varieties of suits for players to choose from so it may as well end up being just another random suit for Spider-Man to wear—one that is not related to the game's main story at all.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel team up to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-Man adventure exclusively for PlayStation 4. Take control of an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful at fighting crime.
Marvel's Spider-Man will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 7th of September.
