Insomniac Games has created a new video game with Spider-Man on PlayStation 4, but also made sure to create a game that references popular culture.

It is not about simple cameos or winks to comics, which there are of course, there are also references to some of the sequels of film adaptations. And in this particular case, one of the most popular films of the character, Spider-Man 2 (2004, Sam Raimi).

Marvel's Spider-Man reached a point in the plot where you have to prevent a subway car from wreaking havoc. The brakes do not work and Spidey must improvise an emergency solution to stop the high speed of the train.

The sequence is a tribute to the 2004 film, in which Spider-Man - played by Tobey Maguire - tried to save the passengers from the train after his battle with Doctor Octopus -by Alfred Molina-. A player has caught this scene for the first time and wanted to tweet.

In the case of the game, the solution based on the webs does not go the way we observed in Raimi's film and this ends up being referenced by Spidey himself with a joking "It worked last time!" We leave you with the entire sequence.

Marvel's Spider-Man is available for the PlayStation 4.
