Marvel's Spider-Man has been out for almost a month now, and players have had the chance to web-swing across the city of New York at their leisure, fighting crime one day at a time.
Insomniac Games' take on the wall-crawler has been met with praise from critics and gamers alike and for good reason; it is, arguably, the best Spider-Man game ever made—delivering a fantastic story, great characters, and some very rewarding web-swinging and combat mechanics.
One of the main characters in the game though, besides our masked hero, is the city itself—which looks almost exactly like the real city of New York both in scale and level of detail—giving the game a sense of realism not seen in a Spider-Man title before.
Today, Creative Director for
Marvel's Spider-Man, Bryan Intihar, shows us some of his favourite locations within the game, as well as the real city of New York—taking us to the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings, China Town, Central Park, and the iconic Times Square, as well as some of Marvel's New York locations like the skyscrapping Avengers Tower.
