Marvel's Spider-Man is one of Insomniac Games' most ambitious projects in recent years, if not ever. The developer is very well-known for their
Ratchet & Clank titles which, character wise, share more than a few similarities with Marvel's Web-Head, but this is the first time they have what seems to be an impossible task: make a great
Spider-Man game. Don't get me wrong, there are a share of good Spider-Man games out there, but we haven't really had a good Spider-man game in quite a while.
The game was officially announced during Sony's presentation at the 2016 E3, making everyone in the room scream with excitement. The game not only was being developed by Insomniac Games but it looked stunning, the music was epic, and
Spider-Man was finally getting some love after a few disappointments when it came to video games. Needless to say, it has been quite the journey.
Today, Insomniac Games has announced, via their verified Twitter account, that
Marvel's Spider-Man has officiall gone gold, meaning that the game is now done and ready to be released. In order to celebrate, they have recreated the Spider-Man behind the desk meme but with their rendition of the character. We all know what's going on behind that desk, Insomniac Games knows it, and we can't do anything about it except laugh and wait until
Marvel's Spider-Man finally releases on the
7th of September.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel team up to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-Man adventure exclusively for PlayStation 4. Take control of an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful at fighting crime.
Marvel's Spider-Man will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 7th of September.
