Fans of the wall-crawler can now rejoice, as the wait is over and
Marvel's Spider-Man has finally become available
today.
Insomniac Games has done a wonderful job making a game that many people already regard as their favourite Spider-Man game of all time. The studio made sure that they were delivering the game that they have always wanted to play, which is one of the reasons why they put so much love into
Marvel's Spider-Man.
While the game may be out today, we are still getting spoiled by Sony as they keep releasing new behind the scenes videos that show us how the team at Insomniac Games was able to deliver such a great game.
The latest video we're getting focuses on the music for
Marvel's Spider-Man, as composer John Paesano tells us all about the process behind composing the music for the game.
For anyone not familiar with Paesano, he has already done work for Marvel before as the main composer for Netflix's acclaimed
Daredevil series. He has also worked with Sony as the main composer for
Detroit: Become Human, so it is fair to say that this is not his first rodeo.
Paesano tells us that the game's main theme started out as a Peter Parker theme, a theme that evoked that sense of maturity that this older, and more experienced Peter Parker has. Once they orchestrated the theme, it became a full-fledged Spider-Man theme, which he compares to putting on a superhero suit on the Peter Parker theme.
Another interesting thing Paesano mentions is that they wanted to score
Marvel's Spider-Man in a way that the music would feel like the soudntrack of a movie, adding all of the dramatic cues in order to make players feel like they're in control of that scene—with the music constantly changing depending on what players do.
