When PlayStation and Insomniac Games announced MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, players were confused on whether this was a completely new game, an expansion of the original game released a couple of years ago, or a mixture of both; an expansion that gives players a tonne of new content, but that it closely follows the events of the first title.
Insomniac Games later confirmed that MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales should be seen as an expansion in the same way that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and the reception to the news has been relatively positive.
Once Isnomniac Games clarified exactly what was it that the new game actually is, fans of the original began to wonder whether MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales could also be including the full version of the original game; maybe, even, a slightly enhanced version of the original MARVEL's Spider-Man.
Now, and thanks to the people over at Game Informer, it has been unofficially revealed that this is likely the case, as MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales may be including the original version too, although details about it being an enhanced version of the first game have yet to be revealed.
Neither Insomniac Games nor PlayStation have confirmed this yet, but the fact that the information comes from Game Informer is pretty much a dead giveaway that MARVEL's Spider-Man will be included in MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales when the game becomes available this Holiday.
The developers have already revealed that MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will feature a performance mode that will allow players to run the game in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second — which could also mean that the original game will also be featuring a performance mode of sorts. We'll have to patiently wait for official confirmation from the devs, though.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create an authentic Spider-Man adventure. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in Marvel's New York. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.
Marvel's Spider-Man is currently available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is expected to launch this Holiday exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
