Marvel's Spider-Man released back in September 2018 for the PlayStation 4. Since then, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales was announced. It's a successor of sorts but not quite a full-blown sequel — think how Uncharted: Lost Legacy compares to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. That isn't all though; Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered will also be coming to the PlayStation 5 later this year.
If you couldn't guess from the name alone, it's a remastered version of the acclaimed PlayStation 4 title. That is to say that it's an upgraded for the next-generation in terms of visuals and performance. What's more, it will even included new content including the suit from The Amazing Spider-Man movies — more on that here.
You might be asking yourself, given how recently Marvel's Spider-Man released for the PlayStation 4, how much of an upgrade could their possibly be? Well, this new comparison video does a good job showing off exactly what's changed. The video, courtesy of YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits, shows PS4 Pro and PS5 gameplay and cutscene footage side-by-side.
The most noticeable difference, beyond their being a totally new look for Peter Parker, are the reflective surfaces. There's changes to the lighting — some for the better, some for the worse. What's more, Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered also runs at a mouth-watering 60 frames-per-second.
