Marvel's Spider-Man is arguably the best game based on the web-headed superhero created by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Steve Ditko back in 1962; not to mention one of the best superhero games ever made.
All of the credit for making
Marvel's Spider-Man one of the greatest titles in the superhero genre goes to Insomniac Games and Creative Director Bryan Intihar, who have stated in the past that they were huge fans of the character and wanted to do the hero justice.
The story in
Marvel's Spider-Man, coupled with the amazing gameplay and attention to detail found in the game—that subtly pays homage to other iterations of the character like movies, comics, and animated shows—have given players a memorable experience.
The icing on the cake, however, has been the extra content that Insomniac Games has been releasing post launch with "
The City that Never Sleeps", which was revealed in October and consisted of three chapters that brought new missions, enemies, and challenges for
Spider-Man to complete.
Today, we get a trailer for the last chapter in
Marvel's Spider-Man: The City that Never Sleeps, appropriately titled "
Silver Lining", which focuses on Silver Sable—who is back in town and has some score-settling with Hammerhead and Spider-Man—which will become available on the
21st of December.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel team up to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-Man adventure exclusively for PlayStation 4. Take control of an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful at fighting crime.
