The first trailer and gameplay footage for Spider-Man 2 have just been released, and it's absolutely spectacular!
As you can see, this new sneak peek kicks off with Kraven the Hunter deciding to head to New York City to embark on his most dangerous hunt yet. As well as tracking down the two Spider-Men, the villain clearly intends to square off with many of the Big Apple's other heroes and villains, including Black Cat, Prowler, Tombstone, and The Wraith.
Shifting six months beyond that opening, we visit Queens (confirming we'll be able to spend time in more than just Manhattan during this sequel) where Peter Parker emerges from a basement wearing the Venom symbiote!
As well as allowing him to unleash a whole host of new powers, it's clearly having an influence on the web-slinger...and not a good one! Kraven's soldiers are hunting for The Lizard and, when the action shifts to Miles Morales - who has a few new abilities of his own - we're taken on an epic web-slinging chase across New York's rivers.
The massive Lizard soon gets in on the action, and while the heroes save the day, Peter really isn't his usual Friendly Neighbourhood self.
In fact, he's acting downright villainous, and something tells us that the influence of the new costume is going to spell trouble for everyone involved...could Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man be on the horizon?
We still don't have a specific release date beyond "Fall 2023," but this game can't get here soon enough! On the plus side, that release window is now confirmed, so rumours of a September/October launch are likely true.
