SPIDER-MAN 4: Watch Over 18 Minutes Of Gameplay Footage From The Scrapped Video Game

We were supposed to get a Spider-Man 4 video game to tie into Sam Raimi's movie, but when that was scrapped, so was the game! Now, we have nearly 20 minutes of footage showing what might have been...

Even the bad Spider-Man games are fun. After all, it's hard not to enjoy swinging around New York City as the web-slinger, and the first three movie tie-ins were an absolute blast.

Spider-Man 2 introduced a free-roam element to the franchise, and in Spider-Man 3, we were able to experience a little extra power thanks to Peter Parker's new alien costume. That wasn't quite the classic its predecessor was, but given the success of these games, it likely won't surprise you to learn that Radical Entertainment was developing a fourth instalment.

That was going to tie into Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately, that movie never happened, and the plug was pulled on this game, as a result.

However, we now have some Xbox 360 footage showing what might have been. There's nothing that reveals more about what Raimi had in mind for his movie, but the graphics and gameplay all look pretty impressive for the time. Of course, those of you too young to have played these will no doubt feel it pales in comparison to the PS4 and PS5 Spider-Man games!

Games tying into movies are few and far between these days, but we'd sure love to try out a Spider-Man: No Way Home tie-in given how crazy that threequel looks.
