This week, Tony Todd, who will play Venom in the Marvel sequel to Spider-Man, has taken to Twitter to promote the character. He's done this before, but this time, a few of the other performers joined him and they're being rather cryptic about what's to come.
The brief post has, at the very least, increased interest in the game. However, it has also naturally led some speculation that a PlayStation event will soon be held to showcase more of the title.
Todd started the discussion on Twitter with a quick message that included the hashtags "Venom Rules" and other references to the character's upcoming appearance in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Undoubtedly a view shared by the majority of Venom fans, and one that reignited interest in his portrayal of the vengeful Marvel character.
Then Yuri Lowenthal appears to provide support for Todd's shoutout. The actor who provided the voice of Spider-Man in Marvel's Spider-Man and who will reprise his role as Peter Parker in the upcoming sequel, Lowenthal, responded to Todd's plaudits of Venom by saying that he agreed with them. The discussion was topped off by the actor Nadji Jeter, playing Miles Morales in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Jeter said that people aren't ready for what's to come in the future.
Does this provide us with a lot of information about the game? Not really, but it is good to watch the actors interacting in a way that demonstrates how eager they all are for the game. All of the responses to those tweets were full with individuals who couldn't wait to hear Todd as Venom and the others returning to their roles in the next game. It is evident that the fans are also pleased about this development.
