In OVERKILL’s
The Walking Dead, players will have a chance to witness the fall of humanity from the perspective of Aidan, Maya, Grant and Heather, four ordinary people brought together by necessity and the willingness to do whatever it takes to survive in a zombified world. As you can guess, the shooter is strongly inspired by the rich universe of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels.
The zombie apocalypse just started, as
The Walking Dead is finally released, at least for PC, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the co-op shooter have been pushed back to February. Overkill’s
The Walking Dead is out now on Steam for £46.49/€49.99/$59.99, which may seem pretty bizarre, as Overkill's last title, Payday 2, cost $40 at launch and offered much more than
TWD.
Overkill Software, in conjunction with Starbreeze Studios, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games, has released a CG launch trailer for their version of
The Walking Dead. Considering that it's only 15 seconds long, it's understandable why the developer has called it "launch teaser," as we may get the full version of the cinematic closer to the upcoming console released. Check it out down below:
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is available on PC NOW, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have been pushed back to February.
