Over the weekend we reported that Limited Run Games had teased news related to Inti Creates and Sunsoft's Blaster Master Zero series, and that more information would be shared on Monday the 25th of May. The announcement was pretty barebones, but it managed to get fans of the series excited.
Since the announcement was made by a company that is well-known for producing physical copies of independent video games, many assumed that Blaster Master Zero and/or its sequel could be getting a physical launch at some point soon, or even be announced for other platforms.
Today Inti Creates have announced that Blaster Master Zero and Blaster Master Zero 2 are coming to the PlayStation 4, and that both titles will become available on the 29th of June in both North America and Europe.
The good news don't end there, as Limited Run Games also announced that the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will be getting a physical release of Blaster Master Zero and Blaster Master Zero 2, as well as a massive Limited Collector's Edition that includes both games and a bunch of collectibles.
According to Limited Run Games, pre-orders for the physical copies of Blaster Master Zero, Blaster Master Zero 2, and the Blaster Master Zero & Blaster Master Zero 2 Limited Collector's Edition will begin Friday the 29th of May at 10:00 AM Eastern Time via LimitedRun Games' official website.
For those of you wondering, the Blaster Master Zero & Blaster Master Zero 2 Limited Collector's Edition includes a commemorative non-functioning NES cartridge, a 3" SOFIA III and 3" Gaia SOPHIA Metal Tank figures, reversible posters, certificate of authenticity, art print, the Blaster Master Zero & Blaster Master Zero 2 soundtrack, and physical copies of both games.

Blaster Master Zero will release for the PlayStation 4 on the 29th of June.
The story of Blaster Master Zero 2 begins a few months after the events of the first game, where the main protagonist Jason saves planet Earth from the mutants. Eve has been infected by mutant cells that are slowly corrupting her body, so together with Jason and Fred, they board G-SOPHIA and begin an intergalactic journey to Eve's home planet, Sophia, in hopes of finding a cure for the mutant infection.
Blaster Master Zero 2 will release for the PlayStation 4 on the 29th of June.
